It is Saint Dimitar’s day!
 
An year after the formal inauguration of "St. Dimitar" church and chapel in Debrashtitza village, chants of praise accompanied by bagpipes filled the air of the village.  Father Stefan celebrated the holiday mass which could be heard even in the most distant house of the village. One of the big surprises was the performance of the vocal chant ensemble "Ulangelo".  The captivating music coming from the bagpipes and the folklore songs performed by the female folklore ensemble, inspired each one of us, and the children from the Sunday school of Yunatzite village festively recited The Lord’s Prayer.
 
Our guest of honor was the Mayor of the commune – Mr. Todor Popov. Casual visitors of the village were happy to be part of the celebration and to enter the church. Every one of them was truly impressed and fascinated by the beautiful chapel and was delighted that the long-standing tradition of celebrating St. Dimitar’s Day in still preserved.
