Saint Dimitar's Day is a historical holiday for the chapel "St. Dimitar" in Debrashtitza. After one century of oblivion and destruction, the temple was rebuilt and renovated by Hagleitner Bulgaria Ltd. With God's help and the spirit of Revival, the construction of the chapel's building has been finished only few weeks before the holiday feast.
Exactly on Saint Dimitar's Day the chapel was officially sanctified by the Bishop of Plovdiv and celebrated with people's fair. Guests of the event were: the Governor of Pazardjik area - Mr. Cholakov, the Mayor of Pazardjik - Mr. Evstatiev, notable politicians of Pazardjik region, Canidate - mayors, common people, etc. All the residents of Debrashtitza, as well as people from the neighbouring villages, joined the fair in honor of Saint Dimitar. Many friends and followers took part in the joyful event and were witnesses of this important for all of us moment.
On the 26-th of October, the "resurrection" of the chapel "St. Dimitar" initiated another beginning of Christian preservation and pointed the eternity of Christian trust, the power of the Spirit and the will for Revival of those forgotten morals and traditions that join together and stand high in our nation.
 
Pre-History:
Unfortunately, there are no historical facts left about the founding of the church. Until 1930 only few neglected remains were the memory of the old building. The followed historical events and times of total atheism sunk the chapel into oblivion.
But for a long time local people used to talk about the omens that this holy place kept. According to one such story, someone felt at  liberty to take the stones from the almost demolished church and soon after that the man faced a disaster. The misfortune forced the thief to bring back the stones and beg Saint Dimitar for forgiveness.
In September 2006, the first stage of the restoration was finished, namely, preparing the terrain and building the supporting walls.
The foundation of the chapel was put two months later. According with the old Christian tradition this very important event was sanctified and supported with a prayer for success.
In the beginning of October the bell was placed. The setting of the both crosses was attended by a miracle that happened as to prove that Sent Dimitar takes care of this holy place and bless the restoration of the chapel.
The only way to install the big cross is by means of crane. All the preliminarily agreements for having crane spoiled. In the big confusion and worries, one of the builders grab suddenly the heavy cross and mounted on its place. We all were amazed since they knew very well that the only way to put the 60kg cross is by using relevant gig. The amazement continued when we saw 2 white crosses on the sky.
Miracles happen, despite that our human common sense reject them. But the strong trust and confidence in God give us so much power that can make the impossible possible.
