Guests at Marta Vachkova's show

On April 7th, 20009 in Sofia, in BNT (Bulgarian National Television) building, the consecutive broadcast named "The women" was filmed, with Martina Vachkova, but this time special guests of the broadcast were also the children from the Christian schools in Debrashtitza and Yunatzite villages.
For ten of those children chosen by the St. Dimitar Foundation that day from their April’s vacation became more special. They all left to Sofia on a bus around noon, accompanied by Ms. Dora from the school in Yunatzite village, with the purpose to participate in Martina Vachkova’s show. Children were quite excited and they brought flowers at their arrival. They were well prepared to show their knowledge of Easter and its traditions.

Celebration of 1st March

Happy 1-st of March ("Grandma March" holiday)!
In the first day of March, according to an old Bulgarian tradition, people put on "martenitza" for good health throughout the year. This day had always been festive and full of positivity for children.
This year the children from both Christian schools have worked very hard and surprised us with beautiful martenitzas that they have specially made with a lot of love and creativity.
The holiday was a great opportunity for the children from both schools to get together and exchange kind words for the holiday as well as pretty martenitzas. Feast

Feast for good health and a successful new year – 31.01.2009.
It has already become a tradition to greet the New Year every January, with a mass and inauguration of a feast for good health and success.
We did not make an exception of that tradition this year and on January 31st, 2009, we gathered in Debrashtitza village to greet the New Year and to hope and wish for it to be a better one, more successful, more peaceful and calm.
After the children from the Sunday Schools from Debrashtitza and Yunatzite villages said the Lord’s Prayer, all the guests lit candles and all together we headed toward the field where we planted some trees in November.
